About
Assorted Noodles

Welcome,

I'm Mischa, the founder of Assorted Noodles, an education company which goes beyond standard tutoring.

I bring to the company a unique blend of professional expertise, lived experience, and a deep passion for empowering neurodiverse learners.

As an Alberta-certified teacher with degrees in science and education, I've worked in educational research to develop and implement strategies that truly improve children's learning. My background as an Alberta Children's Hospital pediatric nurse has given me a compassionate, client-centred approach that informs everything I do.

As a neurodiverse individual and the parent of four incredible neurodiverse 2E children, I understand firsthand the challenges and triumphs of learning in nontraditional ways. This perspective allows me to connect deeply with my students and their families, creating customized learning experiences that engage, inspire, and empower them.

Every child learns best when their unique strengths and interests are celebrated. I design lessons for Assorted Noodles that reach beyond rote memorization and worksheets—transforming subjects into exciting, meaningful adventures tailored to each child's passions.

How Assorted Noodles'
16-Week Cycle,
4-Step Model
Supports Your
Child’s Growth

At Assorted Noodles, we understand that traditional school environments can sometimes turn learning into a source of stress or frustration—especially for neurodivergent children. Our mission is to reignite curiosity and create a space where learning feels exciting, safe, and meaningful.

Every child is naturally curious, a natural scientist eager to explore the world around them. Our 16-week program is designed to preserve and nurture that curiosity, ensuring learning remains a source of joy and discovery rather than something to dread.

Here’s how our unique four-step model works to foster this positive growth:

WHY A 16-WEEK CYCLE?

LEARN

 weeks 1-4

In this foundational phase, we observe, ask questions, and explore what makes your child unique. We uncover their interests, strengths, and challenges to create a learning plan tailored to their needs.

CONNECT

 weeks 5-8

Building on what we’ve learned, we connect your child’s strengths and interests to the material. This phase is about trust, engagement, and creating meaningful connections between their passions and academic skills.

GUIDE

 weeks 9-12

With a strong relationship in place, we guide your child as they begin to build skills and confidence. Our role is to provide structure and encouragement, helping them overcome challenges and celebrate successes.

NURTURE

 weeks 13-16

In the final phase, we step back and let your child take the lead. This is where independence flourishes, as your child applies what they’ve learned and sees the impact of their growth.

RESULTS

By the end of the 16 weeks, your child will not only have gained academic skills but also confidence, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of how they learn best. This process fosters lasting growth and ensures they’re set up for continued success long after our sessions are over.

In subsequent 16-week cycles, the first four weeks are used to reflect on progress, refine goals, and adapt strategies. During this phase, we reassess your child’s strengths, challenges, and interests to ensure that their learning plan continues to align with their growth and current needs. It’s also an opportunity to introduce fresh materials or explore new areas of curiosity.
